SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - The name of the armed robbery suspect who was killed in an officer-involved shooting in Bay Terraces was released Sunday.
The Medical Examiner's Office has identified him as 47-year-old Adolfo Vargas Tovar of National City.
On Friday, he was fatally shot by officers as he drove out of a garage in reverse and headed straight for them along Woodbridge Way.
Police say Tovar robbed a nearby gas station and fled to a neighborhood where he entered a house.
A woman inside was able to escape through a bathroom window moments before the deadly shooting.
