SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Congress is taking up a bill that could end the long running conflict over the Mount Soledad cross.
As part of a bill setting defensive policy, congress would sell the land containing the controversial memorial to a private group “The Mount Soledad Memorial Association.”
The house has already passed the bill and the senate is expected to approve it next week.
