SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - A horse and its rider are safe Thursday thanks to the quick response of police and park rangers.
The woman called for help around 10:30 a.m. after her horse fell into thick brush on Black Mountain in Rancho Penasquitos.
The rider says her horse got spooked by something, then went off a cliff.
A police helicopter spotted the horse and rider and sent park rangers to the remote location to walk them out.
Both are expected to be okay.
