MISSION VALLEY (CBS 8/CNS) - A bicyclist was seriously injured after being struck by a car at Fashion Valley Mall Sunday morning.
The bicyclist was riding out of the mall's parking lot at about 10 a.m. when a driver entered the same lane to enter the lot and struck the man, San Diego police officer Dan Lasher said.
The bicyclist was hospitalized with broken ribs and facial bones and bleeding on his brain, but police said his injuries were not considered life-threatening.
Alcohol is not considered a factor and the crash remains under investigation, Lasher said.
