SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - A second suspect is behind bars in the downtown jail Friday charged with first degree murder and no bail as he waits for his day in court.

CBS News 8 was there when police arrested 33-year-old Carl Martin. Martin, 33, was taken into custody at 4:20 p.m. after a traffic stop in the 9700 block of Carroll Canyon Road, San Diego police Lt. Paul Rorrison said.

Martin was booked in the shooting death of 29-year-old Rodney Harmon at the Crown Hookah Lounge in the 7000 block of El Cajon Boulevard. Harmon was shot around 4 a.m. on November 16, 2014.

Police say they just recently connected Martin to the crime and arrested him.

"A third suspect was arrested during a traffic stop on Carol Canyon Road. Carl Martin was detained for Rodney Harmon's murder," Lt. Rorrison said.

Two other suspects, Pierre Verenee Readus, 28, and Neil Edward Downey, 26, both of San Diego, were indicted by a grand jury on Aug. 6, Rorrison said.

Readus was arrested in April for a probation violation. He has pleaded not guilty in Harmon's death and remains in county jail.

Rorrison said Downey is a wanted fugitive, with a $2 million warrant out for his arrest.

Martin will face a judge on Monday afternoon.

Anyone with information about Downey's whereabouts was asked to call the homicide unit of the San Diego Police Department, their local law enforcement agency, or CrimeStoppers at (888) 580-8477.
