SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Hello Kitty has been around for more than 40 years, but for the first time, there is a restaurant designed after the famous character.
Sanrio, the company behind Hello Kitty, opened the first Hello Kitty themed restaurant in Hong Kong. The company now licenses out the name and face in order to increase business, but still keeps a close eye on the way things work.
Restaurant owner's say it takes them three times as long to make some of the traditional dishes, in order to give them the perfect Hello Kitty touch.
