MEASURE C - City of San Diego voters delivered a powerful electoral blow to a ballot measure that would have raised hotel room taxes to partially fund a downtown football stadium for the Chargers, with support falling well short of the two-thirds that was required. MORE >>

MEASURE D - Measure D, which would have redirected tourism financing in San Diego, barred an onsite expansion of the convention center and set aside Qualcomm Stadium for educational and park uses if it's abandoned by the Chargers, was handily rejected by voters. MORE >>

PROP 56 TOBACCO TAX - The price of a pack of cigarettes -- and other tobacco products -- will be going up in California, with voters overwhelmingly backing a $2-per-pack tax to fund health care, tobacco-use prevention and other programs. MORE >>

PROP 62 DEATH PENALTY - The death penalty will remain on the books in California, with voters rejecting a bid to abolish the punishment, but a competing measure designed to speed up executions was too close to call. MORE >>

PROP 64 MARIJUANA - California has joined a growing trend across the country by approving the recreational use of marijuana and hemp. Proposition 64 will also establish packaging, labeling, advertising and marketing standards and restrictions for marijuana products. MORE >>
