SAN DIEGO (NEWS 8) - Employees at News 8 have mixed emotions today as we said farewell to our Chief Photographer Tom Warren.
Tom is retiring after 44 years here at News 8. The business has changed a lot since Tom started, but one thing remained the same for the entire time. His familiar mustache.
Tom started at News 8 as a writer in 1974 and became a vacation relief photographer in 1975. He has been behind the camera ever since. Tom was named the Chief Photographer more than 20 years ago.
We honor Tom for his incredible professionalism, his commitment to the highest ethics of journalism and of course his incredible friendship. News 8 wishes him nothing but the best and we sure will miss him!
