SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Pilots at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar will be flying at night more often over the next several weeks, base officials said Thursday.

The altered schedule for the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing is routine and partially due to the onset of daylight-saving time, according to the Marine Corps.

"Pilots and air crews must practice night operations to ensure they are able to conduct them effectively and safely in combat, during humanitarian missions or on any of the numerous U.S. operations 3rd MAW supports around the globe," base officials stated.
