LAS VEGAS (AP) — Festival organizers are offering condolences to friends and family of a 20-year-old California woman who died this week after collapsing early Monday in a shuttle bus waiting area at the Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas.
The Clark County coroner in Las Vegas said Friday that Kenani Kaimuloa died late Wednesday, and that it'll take several weeks to obtain blood test results and rule on her cause of death.
Kaimuloa's father, Dane Kaumuloa, blames heat stroke and dehydration, but acknowledges that he was told his daughter also took drugs during the three-night festival at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
A statement from Insomniac calls the death of Kenani Kaimuloa of Temecula, California, a tragedy.
Her father said she attended all three nights of the electronic music festival at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway and was waiting with friends for a shuttle bus about 6 a.m. Monday when she collapsed.
He says he doesn't want Kenani Kaimuloa to be remembered as a drug-user.
Those who knew her her best said they would always keep her and her smile in their memories.
Kaimuloa's father remained at her side until Friday morning, when doctors removed her organs as part of her final wishes.
Her family is raising money to help pay for Nani's final expenses and a GoFund Page has been set up.
