Rehabilitated bobcat released back into the wild

A rehabilitated bobcat is spending her first night back in the wild Friday.

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - A rehabilitated bobcat is spending her first night back in the wild Friday.

The female bobcat was released into Mission Trails after spending one month at The Fund for Animals Wildlife Center.

The bobcat was hit by a car in July and was brought to the facility suffering head trauma, shock and vision problems, but after a month animal specialist said she is ready to survive on her own.

The fund for animals provides hands-on care for more than 3,000 animals at facilities across the nation each year.
