The TV show Shark Tank really changed the game when it came to get investors in start up products.

SAN DIEGO (NEWS 8) - The TV show Shark Tank really changed the game when it came to get investors in startup products.

The original “shark” Kevin Harrington will be in San Diego this weekend for San Diego Pitch Tank. He will be joined by fellow investors and business moguls such as Bernt Ullmann (formerly Daymond John’s President at Fubu), Greg Writer, the founder and chairman of Angel Investors Network, and Jeffrey Hayzlett, CEO of C-Suite Network.

During the event on March 16 at the Sheraton Hotel and Marina in San Diego, 12 companies including some local startups will be sharing their vision on stage.

The event is a perfect place to network with investors and other entrepreneurs.

Some of the entrepreneurs that will be at the event include:

  • Renee Kay – Local inventor of The Pop Up Pet Door – It’s a lightweight portable inexpensive pet door that is new to the pet industry.
  • Greg Writer -  CMO of Treasured Collectible books and memorabilia. This new company makes amazing collectible books and memorabilia for brands.
  • Todd Gasparik -  VP of Smart Planet Technologies, which has invented revolutionary recyclable cups and other packaging products designed to prevent 50 billion cups from filling up landfills.

Jeff Barnes from the Angel Investors Network along with some of the entrepreneurs that will be pitching their products stopped by Morning Extra to talk about the unique opportunities this event presents.
