MISSION VALLLEY (CNS) - A man who robbed a jewelry store at gunpoint inside Fashion Valley mall Saturday was being sought by police Sunday.

San Diego Police officer David Stafford said the incident occurred at 8:31 p.m. inside Fashion Valley mall, at 7007 Friars Rd.

"A male suspect entered Royal Maui Jewelers near Bloomingdale's displaying a handgun and threatened the clerk," Stafford said. "The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of watches."

The suspect was identified by Stafford as a white male about 6 feet tall weighing approximately 200 pounds. He was wearing a long-sleeve brown shirt and khaki pants.

There were no injuries.

Robbery detectives were investigating, inspecting a surveillance video inside the jewelry store, police said.
