Joe Namath and Marty Abrams team up for Namath inspired action figure

Founded in 1954, Mego Corp became one of the world’s largest toy companies in the 70s, and is known as the first company to create action figures off of TV and comics superheroes.

SAN DIEGO (NEWS 8) - Founded in 1954, Mego Corp became one of the world’s largest toy companies in the 70s, and is known as the first company to create action figures off of TV and comics superheroes.

35 years after being one of the most popular action figures of its time, Mego is back to introduce the plethora of old and new licenses.

Marty Abrams, the father of action figures, will hold a panel together with Joe Namath, football legend, at San Diego Comic-Con on Friday, July 20 at 1:00 p.m. til 2:00 p.m. in Panel Room: 32AB at the Convention Center.

Both Marty Abrams and Joe Namath stopped by the Lyft Lounge to talk about teaming up to create the perfect action figure.
