SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - The fourth person killed in the attack on the U.S. Ambassador in Libya was a San Diego native.

Thirty-four-year-old Sean Smith was reportedly a 1995 Mission Bay High School graduate, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.

His mother lives in Clairemont and she confirmed with News 8 Tuesday that her son was one of the four men killed last week in Libya, when the U.S. Consulate came under attack.

Smith was killed along with two local former Navy Seals and Ambassador Chris Stevens.

Smith was a married father of two.
