CORONADO, Calif. — Coronado police arrested a suspected burglar Sunday morning after a lengthy search for the man started Saturday.

40-year-old Nicklas Paul Jorgensen was taken into custody by Coronado police with the help of San Diego Police Department K-9 units at a motel in Point Loma, according to authorities.

On Saturday, Jorgensen allegedly stoke a bicycle that was being monitored remotely by Coronado police. The suspect is also accused of breaking into a home in the 400 block of Adella lane several hours later as the residents inside slept.

A resident in the area reported seeing the suspect changing into clothes he allegedly stole from a nearby home, police said.

After being located Sunday, Jorgensen was booked into jail for hot prowl burglary, according to police. Additional charges were pending as the investigation was ongoing.
