Finding a community with 'mom culture'

Whether you've experienced the all-too-common pain of a 'rainbow pregnancy' or you're looking for a community, mom culture is here.

SAN DIEGO — Sarah Komers started "Mom Culture" after she had her third kid as a way to combine her love of motherhood and creativity.

With October being National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, Komers wanted to give back to mothers experiencing an incredibly common, yet not often talked-about experience. The rainbow symbol is often used to represent infant loss, either through miscarriage or stillbirth. Since 2018, Mom Culture has partnered with Dr. Jessica Zucker of the #IHadAMiscarriage campaign to honor rainbow mothers and babies.
