San Diego Public Libraries are teaching people skills at the How-To Festival

The festival will feature hundreds of classes at 22 libraries across San Diego

SAN DIEGO — Is there something that you don’t know how to do, but want to learn? Head out to 1 of 22 San Diego Public Libraries on May 18 for the 4th Annual “How-To Festival!”

Twenty-two library locations will participate including: Allied Gardens/Benjamin, Balboa, Central, Clairemont, Logan, Mira Mesa, Mission Hills, Mountain View/Beckwourth, North Clairemont, North University Community, Oak Park, Ocean Beach, Otay Mesa, Pacific Beach, Point Loma, Rancho Bernardo, Rancho Penasquitos, Scripps Miramar Ranch, Serra Mesa-Kearny Mesa, and Skyline Hills.

Community experts from all walks of life will offer free presentations and workshops throughout the day. Some of the presentations include:

  • How to make envelopes out of recycled books
  • How to floss dance
  • How to roast your own coffee
  • How to make slime
  • How to be on time
  • How to do magic with a deck of cards
