SAN DIEGO — Point Loma residents fighting to save a piece of open space from development are claiming victory after dozens of them voiced their concerns at a meeting of the Peninsula Community Planning Board Wednesday night.
Residents want Famosa Canyon, on the corner of Nimitz and Famosa Boulevards, to be preserved and oppose plans to put affordable housing there.
