H1N1 Flu

This is Mrs. Jacobs, your principal, with an important message to all parents. As you know, the H1N1 flu virus is circulating throughout San Diego. Some of the recent absenteeism at our school may be due to suspected H1N1 flu. This call is to notify you that San Diego County Public Health personnel are currently investigating our school for a probable out break of H1N1 flu. During this time, school will remain open and it is safe for children who are not sick to come to school. For the protection of others, children who are sick should NOT be at school. Students with flu-like symptoms may return to school when they have been fever-free for at least 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication. If you child has an underlying health condition such as asthma, diabetes, or sickle cell anemia and develops flu symptoms, please call your doctor. For more information, please visit the district website at www.sandi.net/H1N1 or call 619-260-5409. Thank you. Good bye.
