LA JOLLA (CBS 8) - A trench cave in trapped a construction worker Friday morning in La Jolla.
The accident happened at the intersection of La Jolla Shores Drive and Avenida De La Playa. The man was helping to install a pipeline in the trench when he became trapped.
His co-workers quickly came to his rescue and were able to free him before emergency crews arrived.
He was taken to the hospital and his condition has not been released.
